No. Unless you’re an officer of the law assigned to the school, bringing a gun or any loaded weapon on school grounds is illegal & it doesn’t matter if you have a concealed weapons permit to prove otherwise. It’s against the law & if any student ever tried to do that, not only he or she will be expelled, but they can end up with a serious felony on their record. If a teacher tried to do that as well, not only will the teacher lose his or her job, but they can end up with a felony on their records as well & lose their teaching certification in the state they’re working in. You can tell the person that state & federal laws prohibit any guns or weapons of any kind on school grounds.

Absolutely not!
US federal law USC 18 922 q (2) states:
(A) It shall be unlawful for any individual knowingly to possess a firearm that has moved in or that otherwise affects interstate or foreign commerce at a place that the individual knows, or has reasonable cause to believe, is a school zone.
(B) Subparagraph (A) does not apply to the possession of a firearm—
(i) on private property not part of school grounds;
(ii) if the individual possessing the firearm is licensed to do so by the State in which the school zone is located or a political subdivision of the State, and the law of the State or political subdivision requires that, before an individual obtains such a license, the law enforcement authorities of the State or political subdivision verify that the individual is qualified under law to receive the license;

Lol i’m pretty sure you can’t.. ya’know, coz of the ridiculous amount of school shootings..

And once you’re in the school grounds the teachers are in charge of you, and other students safety. They’d probably wondering why the flip someone would want to bring a gun to school?I mean there aren’t many logical explanations except violence.
If someone wants to carry around a gun in general with a concealed weapons permit, then they could be using it for self defense, to go hunting, to go to a shooting range etc. But none of those reasons really apply for someone brings a gun to school (self defense doesn’t count because teachers are in charge of protecting students). Thus their motive/reason can’t be assumed to be anything harmless.

The permit should say what you can and cant do. Something must be obtained at the time of the permit that explains its legal and illegal situations I would assume. Does not sound like a very good idea to me though.

I’m pretty sure you can’t, but I can’t think of the applicable statute. Perhaps if you asked this question in the Law & Ethics forum, or maybe Hunting, someone would be able to give you a better answer.

Well I live in MA but if I ever go to Colorado, I’ll be sure to stay away from you.

It is illegal to carry any kind of weapon regardless of your permits onto school property.

no, you can never bring a gun unless you have authority such as your a cop or you were given permission to do so by someone that can give you permission

I don’t think your friend will make any progress in this debate, especially if you guys are in Colorado.
