Is it possible to miss someone you’ve never met before?

I am inquiring into the wisdom imparted by teen pop sensation Carly Rae Jepsen and her hit song “Call Me Maybe”:

“Before you came into my life
I missed you so bad
And you should know that”

Can anyone explain this epic phenomenon to me? How could she be missing someone who has never been…

These lyrics are written in sort of a confusing way, so I’ll try my best to make this sound as clear and unconfusing as possible…

What she’s really trying to say is that she had been looking for a guy that has the same qualities as he does, and the loneliness she felt as a single woman before meeting him was so strong that it resembled the loneliness a person feels when they miss someone they care about. Now that she’s met the guy she’s been looking for, she can’t imagine falling in love with anyone else.

I hope that helped 🙂 Artists often write their lyrics in a complicated way like this so people will think deeper into the meaning of their words. It gives more depth to a song and expresses deeper emotions.

WOW!! Just about sums it up. No it would not make experience and have no suggestion what it might be and no approach to give an explanation for it. Nevertheless i’ve discovered myself with similar emotions. For me it is like the prodigal son returning dwelling. I’ve been away from my fathers condo and been away for goodbye I forgot what it was once like at my fathers condominium. Now not realizing how deep his love is for me. Its no longer until returning house you have an understanding of the love you will have been missing and you destroy down crying when you end up in the loving presence of your father again, after being away for see you later. Well man that’s the high-quality i will be able to do. Quality of success to ya.

She’s implying he’s everything she’s been waiting for.
